use disconnect tool. there few different tools out there. I have the set from NAPA, link: http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Det...031_0006560772
you place it on the pipe/fitting and then slide it in , it expands the "locking" inside and so you can slide the connector off. It's easier to show then to "describe"

If that yellow looking thing is plastic and has a tab on each side, pinching the tabs in will allow the hose to be pulled apart. The ones on mine are just like ford fuel line connectors. Really simple. Just push it back together and make sure the tabs lock in if it's that type.
