Transmission mount

How do I figure out which tranny I have?

I don't know if this info will help. 90 cherokee with 4.0 four wheel drive. Automatic. Not sure which tranfer case but it has 2 wheel, 4 wheel part and full time and 4 low.

You SHOULD have an AW4 transmission and an NP242 transfer case. Idk what an AX4 or AX5 is...

The ax5 is the 5 speed that came mated to the 4 cylinder and i believe the ax4 is the automatic 4 speed for the 4 cylinder

ax4 is a 4 speed manual. AW4 is the automatic and came mated to either the 4 or 6 cylinder engines, just different bell housing patterns.

OP, you have an AW4.
