Im looking to do a complete drain and fill. Not just pull the trans plug and get the typical 4 quarts. I'm looking to pull one of the trans lines off and have the trans pump the the majority of the fluid out. So how many quarts of trans fluid does a empty transmission hold so I know how much to purchase before hand?

 

My info says 8.5

 

^ that sounds about right, i just ran it till it came out super clean, for me it took about 10qts till it started pumping out clean
