Default Transmission, Differential & TCase fluids on 97 Cherokee Sport

1997 Cherokee Sport, manual, 4wd (in this order 2H-4H-N-4L) w/ 179k. Not sure what diffs or transfer case I have so its hard for me to figure it out.

I wanted to change all the drivetrain fluids, tranny, diff, transfer case etc. Can someone make my life easier and just tell me what fluids are best for each?

thanks!

80w90 if you dont tow, 75w140 for towing. Limited slip additive if you have one.

DEXRON III for the Trans and Tcase.
DO NOT use ATF4

I don't think i have an LSD, it acts like an open on slippery surfaces. I also don't have an owners manual

So
80w90 for the rear diff
and Dexron III for the front TC

What about transmission fluid? How much fluid do I need for each.... do I have a front diff also?

Yes, you have a front dif since its 4wd..
80w90 for front and rear diff.

Dexron III for the Transfer Case and the Transmission.

Transmission:
4.0L AW4
Drain and Re-fill: about 3 to 4 QuartsTransmission Fluid labeled Dexron III/Mercon.

Filter and complete fluid exchange: 8 Quarts (7.8 L)
Transfer Case:

231 - 1.1 quarts Dexron III
Looks like about 2 quarts for both diffs, just to be on the safe side so you dont run out on your change. Stop filling about 1/2" from the plug.
(Im not sure what diff you have in the rear)
Differentials:
Dana 30 - 1.25 quarts 80W-90 (front diff for all 4wd jeeps afaik)
Dana 35 - 1.75 quarts 80W-90 or 75W-140
Chrysler 8.25 - ~2 quarts 80W-90 or 75W-140
