Bought a 1998 Cherokee that had a small fire above the transmission. Looks like a faulty neutral safety switch that was bypassed did it.Thats replaced and working. Now there is a hose coming off towards back of tranny that was melted also. i tried to follow it but its kinda hard to follow but it looks like the transmission breather. am i right? I took a pic of it on my other 1999 xj. That magnet is pointing to it.
