so i have a 92 xj and my reverse on my 5 speed keeps grinding when i put it into reverse. so i changed the fluid but it still grinds what else can i do to make it stop grinding

My old truck use to do the same thing. When I started it up I would just start it with the shifter already in reverse, or I would shift it into 1st and 2nd a few times while holding the clutch down then shift it into reverse without grinding.

common problem on jeeps but an easy fix. get a new slave cylinder. two bolts on your firewall and pull it out. put the new one in the same way. good luck
