i have a 99 xj auto... i ran it low on tranny fluid one day thought it was full but it leaked out( no wet spots anywhere i park or under the jeep) .... long story short the tranny slips now... i work in a JY and we got in a 97 xj with a 5 speed manual... i have no way to check and see if it works would it be worth the time to put it in my 99 and if it is will it interchange with my engine?

 

more work than its worth really...
Just find a 97-01 with a auto.

 

damn really wanted the stick but yea i dont need it off the road very long
