Default Transmission 1988 Jeep Cherokee
The transmission on my '88 Cherokee MT 6 cyl 4.0 2x4 just went south. While at an auto dismantling yard to find a replacement, I came across an '88 Cherokee Limited 4x4. Is it possible to install that transmission into mine by removing the transfer case or is it more complex than that? Thanks in advance for all the help!

Either leave the transfercase on and use the shorter driveshaft from the 4x4 or you'll have to swap rear housings on the 2 trannys
