Default transmission.

Why does my transmission shift and drive completly fine when the tcm is unplugged? But as soon as I plug it back in my first gear feels like it has no power and shifts at high rpms.

I suspect there is a problem with the TPS giving the TCM bad information.

I replaced the tps and adjusted it. I've also self adjusted the kick down cable as well. I've checked everything I could think of and I'm at a loss for words with it. Still shifting at around 3000 rpms.

The TCM itself could be faulty. If you replace it, get one from a salvage yard for the best price.
