Tore apart my transfercase because it was slipping out of 4wd. I'll include a few pictures and a video can't figure out why it was popping out??

Btw is the magnet supposed to look this bad???

Yep that means your gears have been shedding crap over the years. Was that tcase maintained at all? Second pic the fluid looks brown... Should be red lol.

Did you still have the screen on the oil pump pickup tube? Would've been right over the magnet.

 

Yeah the fluid is red I had just changed it. And the pickup tube screen was there. I just can't figure out why it was popping out of 4wd

 

Okay got some updates one of my shift fork pads is missing?? Would that cause my issue?? And there is some scoring on the back of the planetary setup??
