I run that. It's a good skid.
I think there are two front skids available. The stock one and Rusty's.

I run the stock skid as well and it's more of a PITA than anything. Gets in the way when doing maintenance and hard to inspect steering parts. Some say it's worthless on lifted jeeps but it does offer a bit of protection to the draglink and everything above the tie rod.
I don't have experience with sliders so someone else will have to chime in.

Front skid probably not needed, I would get a Tcase skid, rock sliders and a gas tank skid.
Warn makes a nice Tcase skid and its not expensive.

I'm running this one and love it.

I love these, I'm running them as well. These are pure beef, the fasten to the unibody, pinch seam and and spring hanger.
The first set of sliders I had were Ohana Fab from Ebay. Only 1/8" but worked pretty well.

I would get a stock front skid it protects your drag link and its like 10 or 15 bucks from the junk just make sure you take the hardware... it takes less then 20 mins to install... they may get in the way but it can protect everything from everyday driving as well...
you could also get the stock tc skid as well it works... it all depends how are you plan on wheeling... it came off in less then 3 mins and it is pretty tough ... cost was 5 dollars.. can't beat that price...
and you should really also look into at the gas tank skid if you are looking at the other skids... protects your very expensive gas tank... dont want to put a hole in that on the track... by accident...
What are your over all plans for your jeep??
