Default Transfercase help

So with my luck, first comment will direct me towards a thread that has this explained, but for the life of my I can not find it...

So I rebuild my transfer case couple weeks ago (it was a mess inside) But I got it back together and it started leaking thru the back output shaft. So I am looking for a new seal, not sure If the one that came with the kit was the wrong one for mine.
The problem I am having is all the diagrams I find for 231 cases have a two piece out put shaft cover, mine is what I believe to be a later year one and it is just one piece.

Just wondering if someone has a diagram or a part number for that rear main seal...

Take a photo of what you are dealing with and post it.

It's not a later year t case. It's a t case with a slip yoke eliminator installed. My suggestion would be to look at any numbers on it and try to find out to built it. Then contact them.

Or just call to someone who sells SYE kits and ask them what their PN is. Probably same.

The Mopar part number for the 1999 231 and 242 output shaft seals, with or without the output extension (w/4.0, AW4) is 4798117.

I got mine from the dealer ($26.00), most aftermarket seals are wrong. Dealer is the best bet.
