Quote: Replace the engine mounts (especially the right side ususally goes) and check your transmission mount for play. Replacing all at the same time will most likely fix your clunck. Had same issue with mine, fixed with the above.
Thanks! Glad to know it fixed your clunking! I will be doing all the mounts at the same time

Quote: T case studs that mount to tranny.
Alright, will they be visible when I drop the crossmember and lower the tcase?

well, I changed my motor mounts. but now I have an even bigger issue. whenever starting the car or idling in park and even driving down the road there is a terrible series of very fast repeated clunks coming from my driveline. it does not really do it sitting in neutral though so that's why I think its my transfer case. its terrible. haha but when under the car and looking at copmponents I had someone start it and you can not see anything shaking or clunking or even hear it. but when inside under the center consol there is a terrible shutter... I might be driving on a 3 hour trip tomarow to go offraoding and would love to fix this. I have already taken off my crossmember and trans mount to check them, and they seem okay.
thanks guys!

Did u put a wrech on all 6 bolts and check the torque? If not u need to do it again. Drop the ccrossmember all the way off and put a jack on the TC to lower it about 3 inches to help ur arms get all the bolts.

Well it was still clunking for the off road trip, 3 hours both ways, but no mechanical problems whatsoever. The 4x4 ran incredibly strong while climbing hills and doing snake runs. But its so weird cause it only does it when the transfer case has pressure on it. If I push up on it it does it loudly, if I'm not pushing on it it hardly does it at all. Could it be because I only replaced one engine mount? (The other is broken I found out) remember that it did NOT do this before I replaced the engine mount... Could I need a tcase drop kit? I do have a 3" suspension on 31"'s
I'm all out of ideas...thanks

I replaced the drivers side mount with a OEM one just to get me through my trail ride at brazos valley off road ranch. At that time I did not know both were bad. But I will be getting a set of Brown dogs soon. Hopefully that fixes it idk

The nuts I'm talking about are where the t case and the transmission mate. There is 6 of them going around the t case. 3 on top 2 on sides. 1 on very bottom.

Your second picture shows the very bottom nut. The rest don't show any.
