Default Transfer case, vibration, need help with ID of problem

Possibly someone can give me some insight as to what happened today while I was driving? I made a sharp left turn after quick acceleration after which I immediately noticed a low-speed vibration. Upon arriving at home I was greeted with what appears to be transmission fluid slung from the rear of my transfer case. I think I have possibly broken the bearing and the seal. Can anyone confirm this from the picture. The transfer case is an NP242 Is there even a bearing in the tail section?
