Hi all, I was planning to swap out my transfer case switch on a 2000 Jeep XJ with np242 transfer case. I removed the plug to the switch to confirm I was buying the right part (either 2 or 4 prong switch). Issue is one of the prongs is bent and the plug won't go back in. I also don't have a socket deep and big enough to fit over the current switch to remove it. Also big f'in pliers are budging it either.
Can I drive without the transfer case switch plugged in? It's currently in "full time" if that makes a difference.

2 hours of penetrating fluid and one big ugga dugga later and I broke the old transfer case switch free and was able to replace it.
Anyone with a 2000 np242 that's wondering how many prongs the switch will have, it's 4. Standard motor products part tca-66
