I was in an accident and split the t-case i have a 1996 xj with a 5speed i was wondering if i have to find the same jeep for a t-case or can i use anyone as long as it is the 23 spline? will a case from the automatic tranny work, or will it have to be from the ax15?

 

From what I've read you can use any t-case from a late 1989-2001 manual XJ. The auto's had 21 and 23 out puts, not sure which years/trim had which. It's not much information, look around, see what you can find.
