Transfer case swap
I found a TC out of a 92 Cherokee that already has a SYE for a good price, I should be able to swap that into my 98 without any problems shouldn't I? Both are automatic 231J's by the way.

http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge...nput_gears.htm - all depends on what it came out of. I would get it. Not hard to change either the SYE or input gear and then you will have extra parts, if ever needed

The differences you might find are the connectors between 92 and 98, for vehicle speed sensor and 4x4 dash indicator light. The 92 may have had a vac. disconnect, my 90 and 91 did...the 231 for those have a vacuum switch on the back, no problem to leave it unused.
