Ok first off, I am a total noobie to XJs. I got an '88 for nearly nothing. It seems to have an issue with the t-case shifter. It has a 231 in it. When you move the t-case shifter it does not seem to have any effect. I can see it move the linkage but it does not seem to engage anything other than 2wd. any help? Thanks.

 

Hi and welcome to CF, did you try 4 wheel lo also? you may have a bad chain in the case or the forks may be bent that engages the 4 wheel...Tj

 

I'm not getting anything. There seems to be no engagement anywhere through the gears including neutral.
