I've had some problems with my transfer case before but nothing too serious. I have two questions.
1. Do the part time and full time lights on the dash mean anything? If the lever is in the position does it matter if the lights on or not?
2. My full time would engage but none of my part times. Eventually they did but I had to shake it and even drive it around some to get it engaged. And if it helps. I jus changed the fluid not to long ago.

There is a vacuum/electric switch on the transfer case. There is a check ball in it. Sounds like it is not working properly. The last time I bought one at the dealership it was about $40.00

Yes. Not bad at all. You just need to know which t-case you have. Should be 231 or a 242. Give the dealership the last 9 of your vin and they should give you the correct switch.
