Default Transfer Case Fluid

Anybody use this? Getting ready to change my fluid in my explorer (Valvoline Synthetic Transfer Case Fluid) and was wondering if it is good for my 94 Cherokee. (Changing it next) Apparently this is what they are putting out since the Mercon V was causing problems. It’s supposed to work for transfer cases requiring dex/mer as well as Ford XL-12 and GM Auto Trac ll and ATF+4. Or should I stick with standard dex/mer.

It will work fine but is a waste of money in my opinion. Regular Mercon rated atf is all you need to use.

Thanks to all who responded. I had a good price on it, but since I am going to do the transmission and transfer fluids at the same time, it would be better to just buy the same fluid for both. I was just curious if anyone had any experience with it at all.

Only in its intended application. The 249 transfer case.
