I put a 3" lift in and have some vibrations in the drive line should i install a transfer case drop, do you think it would help?

It depends how it drives, 4.0 inches is where they say you need to drop the transfer case.

You could always get a Slip Yoke Eliminator. way cooler then dropping the transfer case. plus whats the point of lifting the truck if your gonna drop the transfer case.

The grinding noise may be the ears on the rear drive-shaft rubbing like mine were after the 4 3/4 lift, once I dropped the Tcase it all went away...Tj

The guy that I spoke to at Rusty's recommended running a TC drop w a 3" kit. If you have any skills (heck.. don't even need fab skills) you can make one. All you need is a 2 6" long pieces of 1"x1" box tubing, a drill w a bit & 4 2" long bolts. If I remember correctly, the holes are 4 9/16" center to center. The hardest part of the TC drop is getting the 2 original studs out.

Sye is $200 and you can use the front drive shaft out of an auto XJ. So maybe $250. ( Once you start lifting you will only want to go higher )

If you go with a TC drop, just use longer bolts and big washers as spacers. Can easily be found for less then $5 at any hardware store.

Enjoy the stud and be sure to soak them with PB blaster if you plan on the drop.
