When on any slope if I put my jeep in gear it doesn't want to pull I can put it in 4 low and it goes and once it changes to 2nd it goes fine. And after I get going the first time it will do just fine. I can stop it and go it does fine. And some times if I stop and take it out of gear then put it back in gear it will do the same. But as long as I keep it in drive it does fine 88 cherokee 4.0l automatic. Is my trans gone or is it something small!??!???

I'm not sure. I've owned it for 3 years now but I sold it for about a month cause the original trans went out because a line busted on a trail and I didn't know it till it was to late. And my buddy caught me in a hard time so he bought it and put in this trans I bought it back from him like a month after he put it in. It was a used one from an grind that had it as his spare He may have put ATF+4. I don't know a lot about transmissions! What should be in it? can I just drain it and change it ?? Will that get it all out??
