Ok..I know its been asked to death but here it goes...96 grand cherokee.4.0...I put it in drive and it acts like neutral untill i give it the gas.then it slams into gear.shifts fine no sliping etc. sometimes when i stop it bogs like its in second.also wants to stall some times backing up as i stop.tc clutch???idk....what do you think.thanks...mark. oh and fluids are new and up and filter is new.....

 

My dads jeep did that as well right after he changed his fluid and filter. Cost him $1300 for AAMCO to rebuild the tranny. Goodluck.

 

Moved to OEM tech.

 

If your tranny is slipping like that, it's probably a valve inside. Might have to do a rebuild.
