So I had to pull the crossmember out this weekend and bought a trans mount for an 2001 automatic. Now that I have it and compared it to the one I took out there not the same. The one I took out the studs were centered and the new one there off set and it's taller. My question is did I receive the wrong one or did I have the wrong one.

You got. The wrong one, the new one you have is for a pre 99 crossmember.
Easy answer is to aquire a earlier crossmember and swap it and the trans mount in.
Hard answer is take that one back and try to locate a proper mount. I've heard the 4cyl mounts will work.
I went with an new crossmember that uses a GM trans mount I can damn near get at the 7-11.
