Trans line retaining clip

Default Trans line retaining clip

I had to replace my upper trans line on my 2000 xj and I broke the retaining clip that holds the line into the trans so I found these fuel line retaining clips for gm/Chrysler and they looked like the exact same thing they are 3/8" the problem is they wont click in, I thought it did but my trans line came out and I lost 4qts of trans fluid. Does anyone know where I can get that retaining clip because I can't find it anywhere...

Just do away with the clip and use a hose clamp.

What retaining clip?


The quick disconnects are 5/16"


See pic below. Buy new lines if required.

Try to go to a dealership .. You need those clips .. It's a far shot but they might have them in stock .. I know exactly what your talking about .. The tiny horseshoe clip that goes behind the threaded end of the line .. Almost impossible to remove without breaking or losing them
