Default Trans limp mode?

I’m in a 98 xj sport with 203k and it’s Been doing the same ever since I got my transmission rebuilt almost a month ago. I’ve only put 1500miles since the rebuild.
It’ll randomly go into limp mode after driving for a while. once I reach a full stop. And no power when I accelerate with high rpm. Very frustrating.

The trans doesn't have a "limp mode" in the sense that you're thinking (low power mode when it senses something wrong). Can you describe what it's doing a little better? Is it acting like it's in the wrong gear, trying to start out in 4th, etc? Have you asked the place that rebuilt it? You can try adjusting the throttle body cable. https://bleepinjeep.com/video/having...v-cable-first/

so before I got the transmission rebuilt it didn’t want to shift into the next gear from 1st until it hit past 3000rpm then it would skip 2nd go straight into 3rd.
turned out to be bad seloenoids.
the trans shop said it needed a rebuild so I was ok with it considering it already had 202k miles on it.

POST REBUILD:

it’s shifting fine now just a hard yank and shifts into 2nd now at 2800rpm and the following are very short shifts.
anyway I would drive it for a while and it will be fine but randomly when I get to a complete stop like at a red light or stop sign i wouldn’t feel any pull after letting go of the gas.
When I do hit the gas there is no power and the rpms are very high as if it’s in a high gear or something but it just picks up speed very slowly.
after I turn it off then restart it it’s fine again but then randomly would just do that over again.
I even felt a stutter a couple times when I would hit the gas.
It’s been about a month since I got it rebuilt. 1500miles since then.
I had to take it back omce already because my trans line was leaking.
and just recently it’s been making a weird buzzing sound coming from the trans area and it now doesn’t want to shift into 4x4 4LO.

im taking it back Thursday again.

God luck. To me, it sounds like a bad #1 solenoid still. The xfer case issue is probably unrelated and I'd guess the the shift linkage need adjustment.
