Trans slips from 2nd to 3rd
my transmission was shifting nice then suddenly it started slipping from 2nd to 3rd on my grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0l, with 156,000 miles that had routine maintenance. what could be wrong?

Old fart with a wrench
Possibly worn 3rd gear clutches. I drove a Chevy truck with the same problem and to extend it's life, I let off the throttle just before it would shift. It worked for a while, but eventually I had to rebuild it.
