my 89 xj's trans cooling quick connect fitting came appart. can i bypass this and cut it off somehow to fix ? any help would be awesome thanks
Wich end came apart?
If it's at the end where the steel line meets the rubber piece, you could cut off the quick fitting part off of the rubber end, slide the rubber hose over the steel line, and clamp it with some hose clamps.
If the transmission end came apart(as mine did )
You'll have to replace the fitting with a new one.
I purchased 2 new ones at Napa. Part number 730-4978. I think they were $9.99 each.
