trans case shifter linkage issue

Default trans case shifter linkage issue

my trans case shifter moves alot...i popped it back in ots spot on the case , but everytime i give it a pull to lock in it comes right back out. i can put it back in get it in 4x4 and then take it out of 4x4 and it stays in , that is untill i pull it back to 4x4 again.... any help is appreciated

I think mine won't stay in 4 low because my mounts are shot. I need to slide the engine back every time I want to pull my E-fan. Not to say (our) bushings aren't shot. If I look down below my manifolds, I can see I'm not centered on the LH mount. So there's that.

bushing is there. i keep putting it back in with a pry bar and it keeps coming out....could the bushing just be wore out? didnt have the problem till i dropped the trans to put in new flex plate and now this started

sounds like worn out bushings as the are just plastic, also the linkage may not be properly aligned, mine use to do this and i had to get new bushings and mess around with the adjustment of the linkage.....which is why im going custom once i get my 231 in place.
