Default Tranny problems.... Were is this TCU??

I went and washed the engine bay the other day cause i'm trying to find some oil leaks. Anyway after i left the car wash my jeep ran fine.... came back to work for a little and back in to go home about 4 hours later. Half way home the thing ran fine then all of a sudden it wouldn't shift out of first.... If you scream the thing at 4500 RPM's it will shift into 2nd but that's it. I searched around on here and someone esle had the same problem and the started with the TCU.... guess i'll do the same but have no clue where the thing is... can't seem to find in my haines service manual. Any help would be great
Thank's

it's under the knee trim on the passenger side of the dash. small silver rectangular box with a wire harness attached.
you should be able to just reach under the dash and disconnect the harness and just try plugging it into another one to see if that's indeed the problem. sounds like it tho.
