Head Job
2000 XJ, head gasket leakin oil and getting worse, so I just got a head & banks header from Quadratec. came with the valves installed. looking through the haynes book & wonderin about the pushrods & rocker arms.
whats the catch with this, is it hard to replace them. should I go for new & whats the job to install. besides the torqe specs that I don't have for the head, I wasn't to worried about the job, but these rockers I have no Idea..
Thought's would help, thanks all you jeepers! and you creapers as well!

rockers are easy there just pedestal bolt down....they should need no adjustment. you will need to unbolt the rockers first then remove the pushrods. Inspect the pushrod oil hole in the center to make sure its clean...Soaking the pushrods/rockers in degreaser overnight would be best. Also i Highly reccomend replacement of the LIFTERS while the head is off...they are easy to pull out with a magnet when the head is off.
