Default tranny problems

OK i have a 96 cherokee with 210k miles on body and i was told tranny also the engine has 60k ive had the jeep for 2 or more years the trany was bad from the day i bought it and ive ben beating it to the ground ever since and still hasnt blown up? im gueesing it is something stupid but dont know what to check trans fluid is good not milky or burnt i just think it is something stupid that isnt working properly sometimes it shifts good in 1st and 2nd gear if you ease into it but if you give it alot of gas when it is supost to shift the truck bounces off that rpm and wont shift for me to shift in most gears i need to pull my foot off the gas at certain rpms also when you are cruising at a speed for awhile the rpms drop to around 1500 and when you give it more gas it does nothing if anyone has any help to this problem will be great thanks

You can try this kickdown cable adjustment. I needed to PB Blast the Release Button to get it to release/adjust.

ive adjust the kickdown cable a few times already and didnt help at all i acually just did it again to make sure

Check it for codes and see if it had a output shaft speed sensor code. The sensor and bad connections at the sensor are also known to cause late shifting.

I scanned it a few times with a snap on scanner and got no codes
