There are two connectors there. Unplug them, spray out with electronics cleaner and plug back in. Common issue for many years. ALL the info from speed sensor, TPS, TCU, solenoids travel through those connectors. They get corroded. Do this first.
Do this regardless first for obvious reasons. Bypassing the NSS or rebuilding it is easy but not likely your problem.
