Ok as I posted before I replace the radiator on my 01 xj. soon after the line that connects to the tranny to the radiator came off one time on the way to work When this happend the first time I places 2 hose clamps on it to prevent it from happening again (So I thought) And today in michigan we had a blizzard 10" of snow it happend again didnt come off completely but slipped enough to leak out left me stranded and cold luckly I had a quart left over from last time that got me to a gas station to add 3 more...Any-one know what I can use?

can you get to it enough to flare the end of it so the clamp will hold better? use a 1/4 inch ratchet to tighten clamp not a screwdriver.

If you can unscrew the fitting from the rad., get the brass replacement with the barbs for rubber tubing, and just flare out the other end of the hard line a little (just to provide a stop for the hose clamp) and clamp both ends.

OEM didnt use clamps. It's either quik connect of flared with a nut outside.

Someone modified yours. See what a dealer is asking for new lines, or maybe a upull if you have one local.

Grab the OEM tranny cooler lines from a donor XJ in your local JY. Dodge will charge you an arm and a leg for them. If it's the hose side of the HI pressure fitting that is gone. The only way you'll get it to stay together is to have both sides of the OEM fitting. It is that same jacked up type of high pressure fitting that goes to the fuel rail. Whoever invented those things should be locked up in a padded room.
