I believe it's 8 quarts, you MUST replace with dex/merc atf+3 or atf+4

DO NOT use any synthetic fluids in your transmission, EVER. it will destroy the brass between your clutch discs.

did you plug your transmission computer back in before the "it's still not shifting" comment?

pull the jeep on level ground put it in gear hold the brake and have someone check the tranny dip stick to see if it is full or need's fluid.if it does not show up on the stick you might want to take it in and have it looked at.if the fluid is ok then try the tranny comp or the solenoids.

oh yeah, don't forget to do as a1 says, but also remember to check fluid level you must have the jeep running.

thanks i forgot there are some people who don't have enough common seance to leave the engine running

yes i plugged the computer back in after it still wasnt shifting right and yes i have enough common sense to check the tranny when its runnin, and according to the haynes manual its 4 quarts

8 is for a full flush.

you need most of the fluid out of there if it's never been changed before

got the tranny shifting right, replaced the tps and adjusted the kickdown and its runnin 1000 times better now!

quick question. did your check engine light come on? mine is doing kind of the same thing, my lights on.
