Default tranny issues

so while driving back from work i noticed that my tranny was puttin out barely any low end power when i put it in drive but when i manually ran thru the gears it gained a lil more low end power, it also felt like the torque converter wasnt locking up either, i shifted from drive to third and there was barely any difference in the power but the rpms lowered a lil bit, when i was in drive i was doin about 55 and the rpm was around 2750, when i was in third doin about 45 the rpm were about 2000, when i shifted up from 3rd to drive i could feel the tranny trying to shift but it wouldnt shift up, also when my dad drove it from ohio to ny to bring it to me he said that he felt the torque converter wasnt locking up soon enough, so im betting that the torque converter is goin out on me. any one out there that can confirm or give me some more ideas?

trans computer or shift solenoids are your most likely problem

nope. dealer for the solenoids, junkyard for the trans computer. tcu is on the pass. side of the dash directly behind the knee board. about 3x5". solenoids are INSIDE the transmission, and one of them is to lock up the torque converter.

check your transmission fuse on the fuse block by your brake pedal, it could be blown.

fuse block by the brake pedal. that fuse block has no cover, the only one that has a cover is the one in the engine bay.

no, i don't know...it is in your factory owners manual, or could be found on some of these sites somewhere. unfortunately, idk where.

I think you can only adjust the tps on 90 and older xjs.
