Tranny dont shift
Ok for a little background, my transfer case blew up on me and I replaced it with a 231 instead of the 242. After it was all installed with fluids topped off and everything rehooked I went for a drive. It will not shift out of first. The fluid is red and does not appear or smell to be burnt. I have replaced the TPS and the TCM and double checked all connections. If the TCM is disconnected it will shift fine but it is manually (1-2,then 3,then OD) I am at a loss for what to do! This is my daily driver and cannot afford a rebuild or to even be without it! Any ideas on what it could be or am I just gonna have to get it rebuilt or a new one? Thanks.
Oh and it is the DEX/MERC fluid not AT+4.

If it shifts fine manually with the TCM out of circuit, you have verified that you have an "electronic control" problem. Not a mechanical issue.
Gonna have to go back and check all wiring and connections associated with the TCM and the throttle position sensor.
