trailer brake harness

K, one of my buddies told me that Cherokees have a harness under the dash that is meant as a plug in for trailer brakes. Is this true? I have looked and looked and can't find it if there is one.

I just put a brake controller in my 98. No plug, had to hardwire it

Engine: 4.7L V8

Th '01 WJ had a blue connector under the dash for the brake controller to plug into. I don't know about any such connector on the XJ, but it could be similar if equipped. JMO
