Default Trackbar axle bolt trouble

I broke a socket. I tried the breaker bar. Which is why the socket broke. So can I use a impact socket with a impact gun to get the stupid thing off?

Btw. I used PB blaster (god I love that stuff) and I tried to torch it too.

So I kinda want to use the impact gun. So what do you think?

On mine, the axle end hole was wallowed out. I was planning on a new trackbar, but in the meantime I got a 7/16ths Grade 8 bolt, nut and drill bit from Lowes (you'll have to open up the bushing sleeve to accept the new bolt). As it turned out, the new double shear track bar bushing sleeve was already 7/16ths.

Eventually I welded a new flag on the 7/16ths nut to make it almost original as well as giving me the ability to crank it down nice and tight.

If you really want the metric bolt again, try the Mxx size just smaller than 7/16ths SAE. Just be sure it's grade 10.9

I think it is an M10x1.5 if I'm not mistaken. Probably around 80-90mm in length. Sorry I don't know the exact length.

As stated you will want a metric 10.9 bolt which is roughly the metric equivalent to grade 8 SAE.

Thanks guys. I got it all fixed up. I ended up getting it towed to a friend of my dads who owns and alignment shop and specializes in Jeeps and he got the busted bolt out and the new one in.

thanks for help!
