Anyone know the difference? I'm getting code 24 which is tps. I ordered mopar & come to find out it had a V8 tps. The new tps is for 4.0(which should be on it) it runs worse with the new 4.0tps than the old V8tps. I'm still getting code 24 with either part. Xjs a 95 & has hesco throttle body. The V8 part is bigger. Anyone know if there is in fact a difference.

 

is thatthrottle body a high performance one that would maybe explain the v8 tps

 

Its a bored hesco. Its been few years but I swear it came bare & I had to add my tps & aic from stock throttle body. I actually had it running nice yesterday except a slight hesitation & code 24. I put this new 4.0 tps & its worse. Damn that's 75$ wasted! Wouldn't think there is that big a difference between the two & if there is how is V8 tps working together with ecm. Good thing I don't have hair cause I'd done have it pulled out!

 

i would take it back and get the correct one

 

Thankfully they switched it for the V8 part & didn't even charge me the 10$ difference. Now I'm praying to the great jeep gods that it fixes it.

Ol girl musta heard me talkn bout parting her out. Change couple things & she's FIXED!!! YES!!! Lesson learned here!don't expect partstore parts to be any better than the junk your tryn to replace/fix.
