tps problem

tps problem
i have a 96 cherokee and everytime i wash under the hood it frys a tps i dont understand i can go mudding and have mud all over it and its fine but when i wash it it frys

no i try to stay away from it i have tried putting dielectric grease in the plug and it still dont help i have to take it off every time i wash it my jeep is a 96 it takes a 97 tps it funny because some sensors are 96 and some are 97
