Anyone know if a tps can cause an occasional shifting problem....like not shiftin outa first sometimes...?

 

it can def cause shifting problems, but i dont know about not shifting out of 1st

 

that sounds like one of the tranny sensor is goin bad.

its the cheapest of few options ill try it first....fluid is clean fresh filter, and brand new cooler and lines..hopefully its a sensor or something...ill change shift selenoids next i guess

 

it shifts fine after it sits bout an hour

 

It has been said that heat is death to an auto tranny. If it's screwing up when hot and good again after cooling........I'm thinking it's not long for the big dumperoo. I hope I'm wrong but, it sounds like you've done all the right things to fix it, so far.

 

it does it randomly 1000 miles? or 1 mile just happens....im thinking somethng electrical....because i can drive it for 1hr straigh or 1 min down road and it happen.... idk. i hate transmissions lol

 

where is this shift solenoid? inside the pan?

 

not 100% sure but i think in the bell housing.

 

my issue turned out to be a faulty Transmission control module. Got one from the JY all is fine now.!!

 

im lookin for one now....
