I guess it may depend on the store, because UHaul rented the 6'x12' dual axle enclosed trailer to me and helped me hook it up to my XJ. I then towed it fully loaded 2,400 miles round trip between Indianapolis and San Antonio. I liked towing it so much with my XJ that I went out and bought my own and proceeded to move the rest of my 3,500 sq ft house one load at a time at a total of 4 more trips without an issue.

To the OP, you can tow up to capacity just fine. See my original advice.

I guess this is a personal choice. The voting stands at ?
A few numbers to help in the decision,

Cherokee weighs - 3,100 lbs, Towing rating 5,000 lbs

A steel dual wheel trailer estimated weight - 900 lbs minimum

Small to mid size car weighs 3,000 lbs

Total load - around 4,000 lbs, 1,000 lbs more than the towing vehicle.
