i have a 87 2 door cherokee out front here and its a 2wd and im looking at the rear axle and im pretty sure its a dana 44 would a 2wd come with a dana 44??

 

It's possible but best way to tell is the shape of the differntial housing. get a picture of a d44 housing off the internet, and compair if it looks the same then you have your self a d44. if it dosent then your other options are the normal chrystler 8 and a quarter or the d35
