where can you put tow hooks on the front of a 97 cherokee.

you will have to buy brackets for themto bolt to the "frame" unidody

x2 unless you can fab some up youself from 3/8" or 1/2" steel. i believe you will need 6 grade 8 bolts on each bracket. match up the holes that are already in the unibody, then drill some new ones for added strength

rugged ridge sells a kit,brackets hooks and harware,or go to your local JY and find an XJ with factory tow hooks and remove.

Go to Quadratec .com type in the search window tow hooks it should pop up.

Bolt 'em to the hood.

Easier to get to, and you won't have to crawl around on your knees in mud trying to hook up.

Looks tough, too. You can use them to tie down a spare tire like Land Rovers do. You can also haul the occasional deer or bear out of the woods by tying it down on the hood. Keeps the stink and blood out of the Jeep.

Actually, I had getting pulled out in mind, but you could use them that way, yes.

i got a set at the parts store last week. id have to notch the bumper to make them work with the holes that are already there. i thought about welding them to the top of the bumper, just for fun. but figured id rip my bumper off, at least bend it if i used them. didn't think of the hood tho. lol i can just see the hood fly away while i stay stuck..
