Question Torx chart?

96 XJ. Replacing riders fender. Going to have to replace a lot of torx bolts, and U-nuts. But what sizes? 1/4-20? 5/16-18? m6-1.0? Is there a chart / guide?

Torx is metric and goes by numbers. #10, #15 etc

I like to use the thread gauge next to the nuts and bolts display at the parts store.

Update to question. From the parts manual I have:

FENDER, Modification Required
6 J420 0408 18 NUT
7 J044 5446 2 NUT
8 1150 2843 4 SCREW
10 3420 1661 AR SCREW
11 1150 3714 AR NUT
13 J400 4919 16 FASTENER
14 J400 7117 14 SCREW
17 3420 2575 2 SCREW
22 3420 1895 2 SCREW
23 3420 2358 4 SCREW
So I have quite a bit more research to do.

So it would be the M6. Going off to do more research. Thank you.

I've seen a number of SAE bolts that have torx heads. Mostly in older Jeeps like my old CJ. But I've seen metric torx in my JK.

Best bet is to pull the fastener, measure the threads and then decide what to replace it with once you know for sure.

Not an option. Disabled. We are talking about my handicap control vehicle. But my 'screw plates' are helping.

Update and possible 'closure'. There is a big chain autobody repair about sixty miles away. It repaired her Liberty after an accident. They DO have complete bolt kits orderable. This one is on order. But over $75.

If McMaster doesn't have the fastener, you don't need it.
