Default Torque converter knock

I've developed a knock from what sounds to be the torque converter. I have retightened the flex plate. Have used Lucas treatment.

Get a mechanic's stethoscope and narrow it down. Could be a main bearing/crankshaft knock.

The flex plate, which is called a drive plate by Chrysler, may be cracked. Not very unusual......

Default Fixed.

So I pulled the trany. The flex plate was cracked 3/4 of the way around the bolt patern. Seems to run much better now and the nock is gone. Thanks.
