You should be able to. The flywheel bolts to the torque converter and the torque converter just slides into the transmission. Make sure it comes straight out so you don't mess up the transmission input shaft. But you may need to turn the crank/torque converter to get it to come off the trans input shaft. It has a two stage slip onto the trans shaft. When putting it on, it's a push it on until it stop and then rotate and push until it slips in a second time.

If you drain the rans before doing this,it shouldn't be too bad. The torque converter drains kind of odd. The fluid kind of pools in the middle and then you can dump it out. It doesn't really all drain out when you invert it. You;ll probably get a big gush when it first comes out and then be ok. I just pulled one out of my '98 after I took the engine out. Not much trans fluid spilled out of the torque converter at all.
