looks best when done with a dremel using reinforced cutoff wheels... takes time though. you can do it with a jigsaw or a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder/die grinder if you go slow.

regardless, use a flap wheel to clean the edges up

if you got a air compresser i would got and get air grinder, there are ment for light work cutting cats off and things like that so. but i dremel would work to, just take a bit longer.

I did the trim and fold method. I did the rears with a small hacksaw, took me and hour each. I pulled out my jigsaw and a thin metal cutting blade and took me 10 min to do both fronts. I recomend the jigsaw, but wear gloves and hold the fenders still, they can rattle quite a bit.

The air shears IMHO would be the best unless you do the cut and fold method.

So, is it better to just cut it all off or cut and fold? Is there a benefit either way?

i havent seen anyone mension yet but be careful on the rear not to cut too high. if you cut off completely, you will cut off the spot welds that hold the body together. i cut and folded mine between the spot welds.

A case of beer. It makes the destruction easier to deal with.

thats a good point I did cut to high on the rear fenders, but that was the only way to even them up. so I will have to repair them later
