If you go with a 235/70r15 it's about the same height of tire as 225/75r15 just a little bit wider .

A 230 is the same width as a 235 so under certain conditions the tires may hit the lower control arms.

I've always run 235/75r15 and never had a problem.

What tire size will fit can also depend on the rim.

I have run 235/75/R15 on non stock rims and never rubbed.

I am currently running 30x9.5R15 on stock rims and rub at complete full lock. If I had the rims that stuck out a bit further I believe I wouldn't rub. My jeep is an 89 and I've read plenty of tales of running 30's on stock height with no rub but not stock rims.

You should be fine with 235/75/R15's.

If your rear springs aren't sagging, you'll have no problem with 235s.
Measure from the bottom of the rear fender flare to the center of the
rear hub. It should measure 17 inches.
